Hundreds of thousands of ducks, geese, gulls, eagles and other birds use this area for moulting, staging, migrating, and nesting. You may have the opportunity to see Wood Bison which were reintroduced to this area in 1984, where they have thrived on the abundant grasses. The Hay River flows through this wetland, with low grassy banks or flooded banks, depending on water levels. We offer canoe and kayak rentals along with a transportation service to this unique area.
