Departs: Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct,

Length: 1 Day

Not Guided

Kayaking / Canoeing - Dodge Falls to Newbury, CT River - NHThe Ct. River from Monroe, NH down to Newbury, VT is by far the most scenic section on the entire river. It is distinctly northern with rock cliffs, islands, bends, curves, marshes, and sandy beaches. There is almost zero motorboat traffic as its character simply does not permit it. The wildlife sightings are deer, beaver, moose, otter, bald eagle, osprey, a variety of waterfowl and smaller birds. The fishing is excellent: northern pike, small mouth bass, walleye, brown and rainbow trout. There are numerous trip options on this section of the river ranging in length from 1 hour to an entire day. Multi-day excursions are also available.

Cost: $59 Adult - $44 kid

Length: 1.5 hours

Kayaking - Paddle with Manatees - FLThe Florida manatee inhabits coastal waters and rivers throughout the State. They can easily move between fresh, brackish and marine habitats and lives in many Florida waterways, including where we paddle! We can see manatees anywhere, anytime on our all our tours in the summer. But in cooler months, in order to stay warm, they seek warm water, deeper water that retains heat and helps keep the manatees to stabilize their body temperature.
We use a combination of single and tandem kayaks to view the "sea cows". Led by an experienced naturalist, we will paddle amongst a natural, wild population of manatees; close enough to view without disturbing these gentle creatures. We encounter manatees on most EVERY tour!

Pillar Rock Day Tour (WA)
Columbia River Kayaking Logo

Departs: May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct,

Cost: $110 + tax

Length: 1 day

Kayaking - Pillar Rock Day Tour - WAThe shores of the Columbia were once lined with river towns that are no longer. In the days when 39 salmon canneries were in operation on the Lower Columbia, these towns thrived. The shore through here is now wild, with cobble-covered coves tucked among dramatic basalt bluffs, or forested hillsides dropping steeply to the water's edge. A few structures still stand, but lines of old pilings are often the only visible vestiges of the existence of whole communities that once bore canneries, mills, farms and homes. On this loop down river from Skamokawa you can get a feel for how this area was during its heyday and note how nature has reclaimed it since it was abandoned in the 1930's. Pillar Rock itself is an ancient basalt feeder tube, rising 50' out of the river. Lewis and Clark camped on the shore nearby, and one of the three still-standing.
