Dodge Falls to Newbury, CT River (United States)
Logo

Departs: Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct,

Length: 1 Day

Not Guided

The Ct. River from Monroe, NH down to Newbury, VT is by far the most scenic section on the entire river. It is distinctly northern with rock cliffs, islands, bends, curves, marshes, and sandy beaches. There is almost zero motorboat traffic as its character simply does not permit it. The wildlife sightings are deer, beaver, moose, otter, bald eagle, osprey, a variety of waterfowl and smaller birds. The fishing is excellent: northern pike, small mouth bass, walleye, brown and rainbow trout. There are numerous trip options on this section of the river ranging in length from 1 hour to an entire day. Multi-day excursions are also available.

Opasquia Wilderness Park Tour (Canada)
Logo

Departs: Jun, Jul, Aug,

Cost: US$1660 / CDN$2570

Length: 7 Days

After a three-hour float plane trip deep into the heart of our Northern Boreal Wilderness, we off load the plane and say good-bye to our last physical connection with civilization as the plane flies off into the distance. From here we paddle and portage the rivers and lakes in one of the wildest places on the continent. Keep a sharp eye open for elusive woodland caribou, moose and possibly even a rare wolverine. Listen for the distant howl of the wolf or the haunting cry of the loon, sounds that stir the primitive soul. The portages are so seldom used that moss and lichen still cover most trails. A fishery of unbelievable quality waits for you to test your skills with trophy northerns and walleye.
