SIMPLE: Cannot be beat! I tried all kinds of seats, pads, gels, etc. and this little pad for <$20 kicks butt. The other great thing is it is THIN and doesn't screw up your center of gravity with a sit on top.

OK, not very fancy of an item but having a seatpad rolled up and tucked away is one of the best first aid items when paddling with new paddlers that are having a hard time dealing with numb legs. If a group can only paddle as fast as the slowest paddler with that paddler needing to get out every 1/2 hr it can make a big difference.
