The best canoe ever made is comming to an end.... This years production of Whitesell Canoes is the last. Nollen will make the last of the Whitesell line this year. I hate to see him get out of the business, but he has made up his mind. I am on standby to get another Dexcender. They are more expensive than other white water boats, but well worth it.

Descender is my 2nd Whitesell. Much more responsive to turning input than the flagship pirahnah. Loves to pivot into an eddy with just a hint of lean. Seems to be a good boat for a large person ( I'm 6'0, 245#) Nice saddle by perception with built in storage! built tough, not the lightest boat on the river. Should last awhile longer than most other boats. Good resale value in North Carolina.

The Descender is a great river running and play boat from Whitesell canoes of Bryson City North Carolina. This canoe has fantastic secondary stability! You can lean this boat to the gunwale and not fear flipping. This boat handles big and technical water like a champ. Don't let the 13' length bother you, this boat is super maneuverable and pivots on a dime. I feel comfortable paddling in places I wouldn't want to go in other boats. These boats are custom built and super strong. If you're in the Nantahala/Ocoee region you'll notice all the Whitesells! Best canoe on the water. I'll give it a 10 plus!!
