The COD Black Diamond is super light weight, strong, durable and well made. I have used it on lakes, rivers and everything in-between. A couple of the shallow, rocky rivers could have beat the paddle up, but it still looks and works great. It moves water very well and has a great blade shape. It is also quite ergonomic. One really nice feature is the ability to adjust from 220 to 230cm. And the twist lock ferrule piece keeps the paddle nice and snug. The only downside is that the small white pieces inside the ferrule that help to snug the paddle into place have a tendency to eventually come loose and fall out. I suggest a few dabs of Gorilla glue on the back of each to hold them in place better. If it weren't for that, this would be a 10/10 easily! It is a great paddle for the money!

Very well built paddle. Light weight made from carbon fiber. Blades are larger than most CF paddles on the market. They push a lot of water quick with more surface area. The shaft has elliptical shaped areas built in for a comfortable grip and less fatigue. My favorite future is the knurled nut where the shafts come together. Keeps the paddle snug and in position. Great paddle for the money.
