The Blackjack is a dream to carry and a nightmare to use. It is extremely difficult to get into and out of. Sitting on the foam pad that is way too low for an ergonomically functional seat makes your shoulders cramp unless you bark up your knuckles on the gunwales. The thwarts and gunwales are thin sheets of carbon cloth with sharp edges and really, would it have killed them to put something on there to round them off? Performance in the water is just about what you 'd expect from a wallowing rubber duckie. I paddled a friends and i was underwhelmed to say the least. The price may be right and the performance adequate for low speed, short distance puddle-jumping but for covering any kind of distance this is not the boat to use.

The Black Jack is nearly perfect. Comfortable, super light and beautiful, it paddles like a dream. Tracking is impressive. Not really a river boat, it's perfect for pond hopping and handles the winds of a big lake with ease.
