Had first river trip in the 16 ft. canoe, on tidal river in SC. Three adults on board made the canoe ride low in the water, and would have been in danger of taking water over the gunwales if there had been large waves. Two upholstered seats with backs were mounted. I think two adults, with or without child, would be maximum. A 2 1/2 HP four stroke motor was used, and boat traveled about 4mph at idle.
This canoe makes a good river cruiser with small outboard. Fibrglass hull is a plus, as it is easy to epoxy items to the hull.

Fast, stable and very dry. Handles large powerboat chop quite well. At 87lbs, somewhat heavy to load on a vehicle, if no trailer. Electric trolling motor and Optima battery work great. Molded seats with inside storage are terrific. I use the daggerboard when motoring for better maneuverability and it is required when sailing. Using a paddle for a sailing rudder did not work for me. I made one that does not interfere or require removal with use of the motor. Sailing hardware and placement by factory is not ideal; they are not sailors; they sell few sailing rigs. I moved oarlocks aft and fabricated a removable traveller which aids greatly in sail trimming.
