This seat is a hard plastic and we put it into one of our Loon 111's. It was easy to install (less than 5 min.) and turned out to be quite comfortable for the two little ones we put into it at separate times this weekend. The kids were 2½ and 1½ and both ended up with the collars from their lifejackets extending over the seat back, used them as a pillow and went to sleep. We're glad we purchased this item. Works great!
