Very stable, but a little diffucult to handle solo in stiff breeze. I think that all in all this canoe is good value for the dollar spent. Excellent to fish from, and easy to cartop, except it is a little heavy to handle alone.

Update: Have found that a beach sand chair placed just in front of thwart enables one to solo quite well and in comfort. This canoe is one of the few that I would stand in to cast. Still think Old Town should have made middle seat instead of thwart.
